Clinical Areas of Interest:
Background:
Caroline is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds across the full spectrum of life's challenges. She earned her degree in Human Services and Community Counseling from SUNY Oswego and has worked across community mental health, nonprofit organizations, private practices, and schools. As a former military spouse herself, Caroline has lived and worked across the United States — and brings not just professional knowledge but genuine lived understanding of what it means to navigate frequent moves, deployment cycles, and the particular emotional weight carried by military families. That experience is woven into everything she does.
Approach:
Caroline's style is warm, collaborative, and deeply authentic, drawing from humanistic, psychodynamic, attachment-based, and cognitive-behavioral frameworks to meet each client where they are. She works with clients toward practical solutions that fit their real lives, while building the kind of insight that guides lasting behavioral change. Caroline has particular clinical depth in perinatal and postpartum mood disorders, complex PTSD, dissociative disorders, and the often-overlooked needs of profoundly gifted individuals — a population whose emotional complexity and unique cognitive profile can be genuinely difficult to find well-matched care for. She is also experienced supporting clients through caregiver fatigue, OCD, and crisis stabilization, and holds a deep commitment to creating space where clients feel truly seen rather than simply treated.
Just for fun:
Caroline has a lifelong love of animals and a background in equestrian sports. She's an avid reader and writer who delights in learning something new every day.
