GeneSight Testing
What is GeneSight Testing?
The GeneSight test is a genetic test that shows your healthcare provider how your genes may affect medication outcomes. It is a tool that can be used along with assessment and history to determine medication decision making and understand how you metabolize medication.
GeneSight Testing may help reduce trial and error when deciding what medication is best for you by providing information about which medications may require dose adjustments, be less likely to work, or have an increased risk of side effects based on your genetic information.
Why you might consider GeneSight Testing?
A mental health medication has not worked for you in the past.
Your current mental health medication is not working.
Your current mental health medication is causing unwanted side-effects.
You have never taken mental health medication and want to minimize the trial and error process from the beginning.
