Clinical Areas of Interest:

Background:

Sana is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University. Her clinical background spans work with veterans, children, adolescents, and adults in the Northern Virginia area, with experience across childhood development, behavioral support, and life transitions. She works with a wide range of clients — from military service members navigating the weight of their service, to first-generation individuals managing the layered pressures of identity, family, and belonging.

Approach:

Sana believes the foundation of meaningful progress is a strong therapeutic relationship — one built on genuine empathy, trust, and authenticity. She draws from somatic therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), CBT, and DBT, combining evidence-based techniques with mindfulness to support lasting growth. Collaboration is central to how she works; Sana involves clients actively in shaping their treatment so that what happens in session connects to real life outside of it. She has particular clinical depth in trauma — including complex PTSD, military-related trauma, and race-based trauma — as well as ADHD, disordered eating, and the confidence barriers that quietly undermine so many areas of a client's life.

Just for fun:

She is an avid reader, dog enthusiast, cook, crafter, and (wishful) luxury traveler.
