Clinical Areas of Interest:

Background:

Victoria (Tori) earned her Bachelor of Science from Virginia Tech and her Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. She spent the early years of her career working with high-risk adolescents navigating serious mental health concerns and substance use — and alongside the families trying to support them through crisis. That dual focus on the teen and the family system remains central to how she works today. A Northern Virginia native herself, Tori brings an on-the-ground understanding of the unique pressures that shape life in this area — the academic intensity, the social dynamics, and the particular brand of stress that comes with growing up in one of the country's most high-achieving regions.

Approach:

Tori draws on Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Attachment-Based Therapy, and Person-Centered humanistic approaches, adapting her style to meet each client where they are. She is known for being deeply approachable and personable — someone who connects easily through humor and pop culture references, and who makes the therapeutic experience feel as accessible as possible without losing sight of the real work. Tori genuinely welcomes feedback and sees the relationship between therapist and client as a collaboration: what's working, what isn't, and how to adjust. Her own experience growing up alongside a sister with special needs shaped her worldview in a foundational way — it deepened her empathy, reinforced her belief that every person's experience is genuinely unique, and drives her commitment to empowering clients to make the decisions that are right for them.

Just for fun:

When she's not with clients, Tori is spending time with family, friends, and her dog Milo. She's an avid reader, a music explorer, and a devoted foodie who is always on the hunt for a new restaurant or cuisine to try. You might also find her deep in an arts and crafts project — or mapping out her next trip.
