Clinical Areas of Interest:
Background:
Jessica is one of the proud co-founders of Crescent Counseling Center, established in 2021 with a shared vision of building a practice where both clients and clinicians can genuinely thrive. A Northern Virginia native, she earned her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University (Go Hoyas!) and her Master's in Counselor Education from Virginia Tech. As part of the leadership team, Jessica is deeply committed to fostering a culture rooted in compassion, collaboration, and authenticity — values that shape not just how the center is run, but how every client is cared for.
Approach:
Jessica's therapeutic style is warm, conversational, and deeply collaborative — shaped by years of experience working with a wide range of populations and clinical presentations. She draws from IFS, ACT, EFT, and attachment-based frameworks, with a particular passion for supporting clients through grief and loss in all its forms, including the less-visible grief of infertility, pregnancy loss, and the "childless not by choice" experience. As a Certified Grief Counseling Specialist, she brings both clinical expertise and genuine personal investment to this work. Jessica helps clients identify and challenge unhelpful patterns, reconnect with their own motivation, and define success on their own terms.
Just for fun:
When she's not with clients, Jessica can be found diving deep into pop culture conversations, spending quality time with her friends, family, and cats — and indulging in plenty of shopping.
Jessica Taylor is licensed to practice psychotherapy in Virginia.
