Background:

Lauren is a Licensed Professional Counselor originally from the Pacific Northwest who has been working in the mental health field since 2018. She holds an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP) certification — a focused credential that reflects both her clinical investment in neurodivergent clients and her belief that effective therapy starts with truly understanding how a person's brain works. Lauren currently offers virtual therapy exclusively to clients ages 12 and older.

Approach:

Lauren's style is direct, conversational, and refreshingly honest — she finds that clear, straightforward communication tends to create more safety, not less, and works best with clients who appreciate that same energy. As a skills-based therapist, she draws from ACT, CPT, Prolonged Exposure, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and solution-focused approaches to give clients practical tools they can actually use outside of session. She has particular depth working with anxiety, OCD, ADHD, eating disorders, and the quietly exhausting experience of being a Highly Sensitive Person — a trait that is often misunderstood and rarely named. One of Lauren's greatest clinical strengths is her ability to identify and reflect back the strengths in others, especially clients whose anxiety or self-judgment has made those strengths hard to see.

Just for fun:

When she's not at work, Lauren loves to read, kayak, and — most importantly — spoil her dog, Bowie.
