Background:

Lauren grew up in Northern Virginia and earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the College of Charleston in 2013. She began her career teaching social and emotional skills to at-risk youth in afterschool programs, then spent several years working one-on-one with clients in therapeutic and behavioral support settings. That direct experience gave her a genuine appreciation for what clinicians and clients actually need — something she carried with her when she transitioned to the business side of mental health in 2019, where she found a passion for systems design, organizational clarity, and building practices that support both growth and wellbeing.

At Crescent:

As Director of Clinical Services, Lauren focuses on fostering balance, clarity, and cohesion across the practice. She contributes to Crescent's strategic development, supports clinician onboarding and caseload planning, and helps keep client and community resources up to date. Her work bridges the structural and human sides of the practice — ensuring that Crescent continues to grow with purpose and care.

Beyond Crescent:

Lauren is also a practicing astrologer with a deep interest in Human Design, tarot, and other intuitive frameworks for self-exploration. Her study of these systems reflects a curiosity that has followed her throughout her career: an interest in the patterns that shape who we are, the different ways we come to understand ourselves, and how greater self-awareness can influence the way we move through our lives.
