Background:

Natalie is a Supervisee in Social Work who holds a unique dual role at Crescent Counseling Center — working directly with clients while also serving as Intake Coordinator, meaning she is often the first welcoming voice new clients encounter. Originally from Maryland, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Liberty University before completing her Master of Social Work (MSW) at Boise State University. Prior to her clinical training, Natalie worked as a social worker supporting children and adolescents navigating severe trauma — an experience that deepened her commitment to individual therapy as a space for real, lasting change and ultimately shaped her decision to pursue clinical work more directly.

Approach:

Working under clinical supervision, Natalie takes a warm, integrative, client-centered approach, drawing from somatic awareness, narrative therapy, play therapy, ACT, and expressive arts to meet each client where they are. She is particularly drawn to working with children, adolescents, and college students, and brings thoughtful, affirming care to clients navigating faith and spirituality as part of their mental health journey — an area she sees as deeply personal and often underaddressed in therapy. Natalie also has a genuine passion for supporting students with learning disabilities, helping them build confidence and reframe the way they see themselves as learners. Her style pairs empathy and warmth with practical structure, giving clients both a safe space to process and real tools to carry forward.

Just for fun:

When she's not providing therapy or supporting new clients through the intake process, Natalie enjoys spending time with friends and family, working her way through an ever-growing reading list, and relaxing in a hammock at the park.
