Background:

Sierra is a Licensed Professional Counselor born and raised in Northern Virginia, with a lifelong fascination for how the human mind works. She earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Old Dominion University and completed her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at George Mason University. Sierra works with a broad range of clients — from children and adolescents navigating identity and growing pains, to adults managing chronic stress, relational wounds, and questions of meaning — and brings genuine warmth and curiosity to every therapeutic relationship.

Approach:

Sierra believes the heart of effective therapy lies in the connection between client and clinician, and she invests deeply in building a space rooted in trust, authenticity, and safety before anything else. Her approach is integrative, drawing from somatic therapy, schema therapy, EFT, ACT, narrative therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) — a breadth that allows her to tailor treatment to what each individual actually needs rather than fitting clients into a single method. Sierra has particular clinical depth in complex PTSD and relational trauma, OCD and intrusive thoughts, and the nuanced work of supporting adolescents and LGBTQ+ clients through identity development and self-discovery. She approaches therapy as a journey — one where progress isn't always linear, and where the strength of the therapeutic relationship is what carries clients through the harder stretches.

Just for fun:

Outside the office, Sierra loves cuddling with her cat, drawing, experimenting with new DIY projects, and rewatching her favorite comfort shows.
